This is a model of stereo speakers shaped like hedgehogs. On wheels. They're smart speakers, they're supposed to determine where the best position for them to be is (for the best acoustics) and move there on their own. The barrel inside the spikes is the actual speaker - the nose would hold all the processors and equipment needed to carry out the whole acoustic-searching process. I suppose they'd do it via some kind of artificial echo-location or something - kinda like those vacum-cleaner bots.

So it's like a smart robotic pet, but it only knows one trick. xP Cute, still.

We're not supposed to paint them at our level - and I already fudged things by using felt on the nose and speaker-barrel - so imagine them being bright fluorescent colors, or painted like in like art deco-style patterns. And, err, all plastiky instead of made of paper materials. >> <<
